Pavilion: Market Hall

Had a small gathering  @ my birthday celebration with my dearest friends _ Yoke Ching and Yoke Yee tuesday evening. We went to this unique restaurant in Level 6, Pavillion. It is just located next to Ding Tai feng Restaurant. Its a open kitachen area, allows you to watch the chef’s preparing every single dish.

Love the design of the restaurant- wooden tables and chairs, especially the paint can lights. The waitress over there very polite and provides a excellent service.

Complimentary breadsticks with salsa for a start. Love their salsa sauce. For drink, I ordered Medidation ( detox Juice), Yoke Ching had ‘Wake Up’ and ‘Forever Young’ for Yoke Yee :)

Caesar Salad – love this salad, the sauce and egg just perfectly match with the fresh greens vege.

Paella – spicl spanish rice with fresh clams and chicken. The clams were fresh and the flavor of the golden yellow saffron infused rice.. really enjoy!

Rack of Lamb – we went for well done cooked lamb with accompanying potatos and vegetables.

We go for Tiramisu and Chocolate Moosse cake as our desserts :)

Overall, it is a relaxed atmosphere to sit for hours and coupled with some wonderful food :)

Steam King Seafood Restaurant @ Kota Damansara

Last Sunday, went to Kota Damansara fo dinner with families.  Lot bloggers recommended this seafood restaurants  and stated their specialty here is steamed fish so that must have that night!

We ordered Steamed Soon Hock fish with might soy sauce. The fish was good and fresh, firm texture. I highly recommended this type of steaming.

The waitress gives recommendation for butterhead scallop vege and Seafood Curry mixed with veges.

Steam lala with garlics, must eat with rice.. as the dish was quite salty. overall taste ok. If you not a garlic fan, dont order this dish, as it contains large amount of garlic. And the salted pork rib with curry leaves is the best I had. Yummy!

Gu Yue Tien Chinese Cuisine @ Chulan Square

Last Sunday, my hubby’s colleagues from Taiwan were here. So Hubby brought us and her family had dinner at Gu Yue Tien Chinese Cuisine at Chulan Square. This is my first time visit to Gu Yue Tien. The restaurant serves fusion food and the food was very tasty and the presentation was very good too. We didn’t try the fusion food but could see from other tables that they looked good but the portion quite small.

Aprt from the dishes as shown below, we also ordered Oven Baked Black Cod Fish with Honey Glazed, fried kai Lan, Wok Onion Chicken, fried rice (有钱佬炒饭 in Chinese) XD. For dessert, I ordered a ginger tea with glutinous Rice ball, and mango pudding for hubby.

We were satisfied with the food and the price quite reasonable too.

Ciao Ristorante Restaurant

1 Oct 2010, marks our third year of loving and seeing each other. Hubby and I went to Ciao for our Anniversary Dinner. Ciao is the oldest Italian restaurant in Kuala Lumpur. Newly relocated in Jalan Kampung Pandan, just off Jalan Tun razak, the restaurant resembles a rustic Italian country house with a cozy garden and man-made lake overlooking at the golf course, and with ample parking facilities.

I walked into the restaurant; Ciao is a family restaurant with comfortable feeling. The staff greeted us with such kindness and polite. The lighting is dimmed, making it perfect to dine and have some private conversation between us.  The bad news was the waitress not allows me to take flash photo, therefore my photos extremely dark.

Hubby ordered Pollo Alla Diavola – grilled crusted chicken thigh with spicy mustard sauce and roasted vegetables, it was fantastic and taste good! For myself, I ordered Filetto di Manzo al Balsamico- grilled Australian beed tenderloin with rocket salad, porcini mushroom sauce.

For drinks, orange juice and Cranberry cool. We also tried the Tiramisu cake, how could we missed our favourite tiramisu  cake, it tastes great !

东甲牛腩面Tangkak Beef Noddles Restaurant @ Jalan Imbi, KL

Today, my colleague and I walked to Jalan Imbi for lunch. We went to have Tangkak Beef Noddles.  They served varieties and many combinations of meat, tendon, stomach and beef balls. Besides the selection of meat, types of noddles like koay teow, mihun, mee and even ramen, you need to add extra Rm1 for the ramen.
I ordered Beef tendon + beef balls (RM7.90). Very delicious but the portion was very small. The soup taste herby and sweet, Kim Fung finished the bowl of soup. There have other branches at Melaka and Kluang too.
