A Little Dim Sum Place used to be in Hartamas some time back, I used to go there for lunch sometimes. It’s now moved to SS2, the heart of food for Petaling Jaya.

On Sunday afternoon, me and my lovely hubby were there and the place was packed. Each plate of dim sum is freshly steamed so expect to wait a bit. But the service is a bit slow

The egg tart was the first to arrive and i dont really like the tart as it taste like cheese for me … but my hubby loves it. One of my favourite all dim sum dishes is Siu Mai and Har Gao (Prawn dumpling). The har gao was fresh and succulent prawns were the reason it was delicious. The Siu mai also not bad, big , freshy prawns…

Char Siew Bao ( Honey BBQ pork) are so so .. the outside is too thick and dry. Chee Cheong Fun is not too overwhelming.

The only misses was the Glutinous Rice (Loh Mai Kai) because we were too full.

Our meal for 2 came up to about RM39.90.

Wednesday night, we went to The Bonton Restaurant for dinner in the group of 4. They used to be at Jalan Conlay, beside Prince Hotel then moved to Lot 10. It’s a very fine place to wine, dine and entertain. The interior was lovely, cozy and simple yet stylish traditional charm.

Hubby ordered Rib Eye Steak and coconut drink; Lamb Rack in Herb for myself. Ben ordered rib eye steak , Paul had fried rice. and 2 jugs of Beer  of course. I love the Lamb , the meat were so juicy. Dessert, of course is my favourite Tiramisu Cake with strawberry cream on top.  Overall, it was a satisfactory meals.

Japanese buffet is quite popular among Malaysians. Munakata at Jalan Sultan Ismail offers an unlimited ala carte japanese buffet dinner promotion. The Japanese buffet promotion is priced at Rm60+ for an adult and RM35+ for a childrenaged 4 to 10 years old.

On Monday, we went for Munukata’s Buffet Dinner in a team of 4 person who like to eat as much as we do. When we reached there, the outside looked a bit run down and it is traditional japanese restaurant with simple setting. Here, all the food has to be ordered ala carte via a order chit. There is an ala carte menu provided on the table.

There are many things we tried that night, and most of them are good. (Note: try not to order so much fried foods). I wont be giving much detailed description about the food. Just note that the food is cooked in very traditional style.

We ate so much that its almost impossible to elaborate on every dish one by one. I’ll share with you the good one:

Munakata has only one type of sashimi to offer, while the rest is mostly grilled or deep fried items. Four of us went homes with stomachs on the verge of exploding.

Today is my lovely husband 30th birthday. Happy Birthday Husband

The birthday dinner was a simple one, nothing extravagantly expensive. We headed to HK cuisine, Canton-i Restaurant in Sunway Pyramind. Canton-i is a restaurant which offers comtemporary Hong Kong cuisine. The restaurant is very new and clean. In the restaurant, you got to see the chefs preparing the food through the transparent glass that separates the kithen and the dining area.

We ordered 3 combinations – roasted pork belly, char siew and crispy ducks; sharkfin dumpling soup (3 bowls), crispy salted fish; mango jelly and piggy pao for my Chloe. The pork belly is served with mustard sauce and sugar, I like it !

The food and service didn’t dissapoint us but i felt Canton-i isnt an affordable restaurant that we can visit often . It cost us Rm150++ for 3 of us + a child.

It’s that time of the year again- Ramadhan Bazaar. Hubby is going to work  therefore me and mum in law decided to pay our visit to the Bazaar Ramadhan at Bandar Sunway, which is nearby our condo. I love the Murtabak, Ayam Percik, Ayam Madu and Popiah.. Yummy
