Japanese buffet is quite popular among Malaysians. Munakata at Jalan Sultan Ismail offers an unlimited ala carte japanese buffet dinner promotion. The Japanese buffet promotion is priced at Rm60+ for an adult and RM35+ for a childrenaged 4 to 10 years old.

On Monday, we went for Munukata’s Buffet Dinner in a team of 4 person who like to eat as much as we do. When we reached there, the outside looked a bit run down and it is traditional japanese restaurant with simple setting. Here, all the food has to be ordered ala carte via a order chit. There is an ala carte menu provided on the table.

There are many things we tried that night, and most of them are good. (Note: try not to order so much fried foods). I wont be giving much detailed description about the food. Just note that the food is cooked in very traditional style.

We ate so much that its almost impossible to elaborate on every dish one by one. I’ll share with you the good one:

Munakata has only one type of sashimi to offer, while the rest is mostly grilled or deep fried items. Four of us went homes with stomachs on the verge of exploding.
